个人简介
Prof. Dan Xiao is an Associate Professor in Physics Department at the University of Windsor, Canada. She received her undergraduate degree in 2006 and MSc in 2009 from Jilin University, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of New Brunswick, Canada, in 2013. She worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow and Research Scientist at UNB before joining UWindsor in 2017. Her research focuses on the development of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) methodology, including novel data acquisition and reconstruction methods, as well as unconventional MRI applications.
报告简介
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is widely recognized as the most powerful non-invasive diagnostic imaging technique in clinical medicine. MRI can visualize the internal structure of biological systems by mapping the spatial position of hydrogen, offering high resolution and rich soft tissue contrast. The non-medical applications of MRI are less familiar. These unconventional systems typically require special experiments. In this presentation, I will provide an overview of MRI, with an emphasis on its non-medical applications.
