报告摘要:
Two-dimensional (2D) nanomaterials are now playing a key role in materials innovation and property advancement. Creating 2D nanomaterials from non-layered functional materials, such as oxides and nitrides, still remains a grand challenge. Here, a new bottom-up technique named ionic layer epitaxy (ILE) was developed to grow 2D materials from nonlayer crystals. In ILE, ionic surfactant molecules self-assemble into a monolayer at the water−air interface, serving as a template to direct the nucleation and growth of a crystalline nanosheet within a 2D nanometer regime. Well-defined surfactant templates can offer robust control of the crystallinity and 2D morphology from a broad range of materials – beyond those bonded by van der Waals interactions. Designing the surfactant monolayers resulted in the creation of ultrathin nanosheets from various oxides including ZnO, CoO, Bi2O3, MnO2, and Fe3O4, as well as doped ones, opening up an opportunity to broaden the 2D nanomaterial family to functional oxides. In a different topic, I will focus on the surfactant-assisted self-assembly of gold nanoparticle in aqueous solution. The host-guest chemistry of the gold nanoparticle assemblies will also be discussed.

王义展,2004年9月-2008年6月就读于吉林大学化学学院高分子材料与工程专业获得学士学位;2008年9月-2013年6月就读于吉林大学超分子结构与材料国家重点实验室获得博士学位;2013年10月-2017年3月在以色列本古里安大学从事博士后研究;2017年3月加入美国威斯康星大学麦迪逊分校材料科学与工程系继续从事博士后研究。目前研究领域主要包括二维纳米氧化物材料制备以及应用,纳米压电材料的开发以及应用,金属纳米粒子组装体功能应用。
